This the Enhanced Process Network Interface, or EPNI board, which is the main logic board of the NIM - the network bridge between the LCN and UCN. The EPNI is used with a NIM Modem I/O card to configure a complete NIM. The earlier configuration of the NIM used the older PNI and PNM boards to perform the functions that are now managed by the EPNI.
